Where should I choose as our hub in Seoul?

My husband, two teenaged kids and I will be traveling to Korea for two weeks in July. We'll be visiting various touristy sites, including Busan. Which area of Seoul would be the best to make our hub during our stay?

    Hello, Laura, Thank you for your question.

    3 best areas where I can recommend are as below.

    Sam Sung Dong (Sam Sung Station - Subway Line 2) - There are a couple of InterContinental Hotels [Hotel Review Link] you can use IHG Free Night Certificates and points to get the room there. Park Hyatt Seoul is located in same area as well. Easy access to the subway station so you can get the either Seoul Train Station for KTX Train to Busan, or Su-Seo Station for SRT Train to Busan.

    Nam San Area - We have Grand Hyatt there(WOH Cat 3). This one is little far from Subway station so be on a short taxi ride to any subway stations as you wish. If you have Chase's Ultimate Rewards points (transfer to World of Hyatt), it costs you only 12,000 pts per night.

    Nam Dae Moon area is another good one if you are into Marriott Bonvoy. We have Courtyard Marriott and it is in decent shape per our readers' experiences. Public transportation is not bad at all there.

    Seoul is somewhat very easy to get around once you get to know the subway system. You can reach most of the areas in Seoul within an hour with transit from one line to another. I think you can buy "Korea Tour Card" to get access to the public transportation. Check this site out for more information.

    My recommendations is to stay at the hotels you know, hotels that you are familiar with. (World of Hyatt, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, and IHG)

    And, Airbnb is another good option for family of 4 traveling 2 weeks in Korea. I don't have much information about Airbnb but I will get back to you if I see some reliable information about it.

    서울에서 오래 지냈던 저에게도 정말 깔끔한 정보입니다. 관광객들에게는 저 세곳이 제일 적합하겠네요.
