밴쿠버에 사는 델타 승객이 델타항공의 mechenical issue와 날씨로 인한 연착으로 어려움을 겪고, 집으로 돌아가는 표가 취소가 되었는데,
알라스카 직원이 자신의 크레딧 카드를 꺼내서 이 승객에게 집으로 돌아가는 표를 사주었다고 합니다.

원글 본문중에 몇가지 눈에 띄이는게 있는데요.
바로 이것!!
She says after an hour of standing at the desk, she found out what happened. “When they had the mechanical maintenance and we ended up in Seattle and had to spend the night in a hotel there, they used the rest of the value of my entire ticket on that rescheduled flight that morning so there was no more money for me to fly home. They didn’t tell me that.”
여행중에 이런일이 자주 생기기는 합니다. 내용인 즉슨..
일정 변경으로 re-book을 할때에, 그때당시 남아있는 Ticket Value로 모든 일정이 완료되도록 해주어야, 마지막 일정까지 추가로 돈이 안들어가고 갈수가 있어요. 그런데 이번 일에서는 델타 직원이 중간 일정 재발권하는데 티켓의 금액을 다 써벼렸군요.
제가 알기로는 보통 이럴때는 델타에서 무상으로 연결 해주어야 하는데, 마지막 일정의 표를 취소시켜 버렸습니다. 이런!!!
알라스카 직원 Judy씨는
And she says ‘You know what, I’m paying it forward, it’s OK.’ At this point I realize something is up and she pulls out her credit card and starts putting in her credit card information.”
이렇게 Paying it forward~~라고 말했다고 하네요. 참 훈훈한 이야기인것 같아요.
반면에 이 일을 겪은 승객은 이렇게 말했다는군요.
“No more Delta if I can help it. I think I am an Alaska Airlines convert,” Thomas says.
델타는 승객 한명 잃어버렸습니다. 쯧쯧쯧!!!
